I sat there

I sat there, on the boulder
Watching the life whiz past by
I saw the rising sky line of the city
And the standstill Ulsoor lake
I saw children playing gully cricket
I watched the yellow balloon up in the sky
And the madding rush of vehicles from MG road
The street Romeo on his loud two stroker
The business tycoon wafting in his Mercedes
The fearsome army trucks
The autos trudging away with heavy burden of weights
The gray overcast sky
The giggles of kids returning from school
I saw the dog and the lady rummaging through the garbage bin,
One for food and one scavenging used plastic
I saw the happy middle aged couple
Happy in each others company, oblivious to world around them
I sat there with no hurry,
Enjoying the breeze and watching the life whiz past by

Eyes

I saw the eyes...
eyes where dreams walked once..
eyes which sparkled with curiosity

an empty stare, a stretched hand
rugged and callous, a blank face
she walks from car to car, with opened up palms
her bro tugging her skirt

the man in the car averted his glaze,
the mademoiselle kept petting her dog insider her air-conditioned car
the lovers on bike continued their talk
and the average Joe on his bike
didn’t even bother to acknowledge her existence

the signal changed to green,
and the cab driver hooted his horn impatiently
she moved slowly to the sidewalk
her face saying a polite sorry for her existence
and she stared to emptiness
her eyes, cemetery of her dreams...

the bottom less ocean of emotions
i felt lost to the magic
and they swept my feet of the ground
come to me, they whispered
and they filled my vacuum
with a silver light....

In Search of...

I posted this originally here, but my blog didn’t had much readers. So re-posting it again (yeah, i am an ego maniac, go sue me :-D)

Suddenly, I woke up from my sleep
No, it was not the howling of wind,
Nor hooting of owls, or a strange step in the attic
But I woke up, and realized -
of all the things I lost,
I miss my mind most

She was pure and white,
Not the pale white of death, but the white of a flame
But that was then, and time changed
Lust and pangs of desire
The aberrations of pure and unadulterated

Somewhere along the path, I kept her safe
And she kept her word
- She kept her safe from me, my lust

When I went looking for her
I saw a heap of ashes with some dying embers
And she was already free
Left the cage long time back
And what left of her,
was strange to me.

strands of music
slight drizzle of a forlorn rain
i sat there enjoying getting lost
spring will come, summer and then winter
and flowers will bloom
but who knows where we will be...

the slow blue fire of moonlight sky
burns my mind, a throbbing deep pain
plays peak a boo with me

yesterdays,
the land of lost opportunities
the shambles of broken dreams
of lost time and bleak hopes
try to weigh me down


the uncut beats of my heart
the warmth of my unborn dreams
the unlit flame of passion
I hear a faint crescendo of rising
of new tomorrows
of new fertile land of hopes

on the window sill
and i sat there with an empty glass

Live It

Not a new one - scribbled it some time abck... today was going through some stuff adn found this...
live life in fast lane..
get on and get a high
u live once
live it till u drop dead
not from old age, but from fatigue
of dancing the whole night
of drinking the last drop of vodka from the bottle
of burning out the last drop of petrol

live life in the free way
no one to ask and no one to answer
it is your life,
live it the way you want
heed not when u hear
"Man is a social animal"
but heed to your mind
when it want to break free
don’t hold it back

travel the extra mile
climb that fence, or throw that stone
when u feel like doing it
howl at the top of your voice
do it now, when u feel

don’t ask for acceptance, don’t give any
for that they have temples and churches
don’t waste your energy, by playing games of mind
exhaustion is sweet, when it comes from ur sweat
crank up your right hand, feel the wind on your face
life is a highway,
dress for crash, not for ride
and ride like hell, or u may remain in one.

Autumn..

Autumn...it have arrived
The trees are deep in a slumber...
And the park benches...all alone...
Yesterdays colorful sunset is now tomorrows hope
People have put on a heavy face; Or is it the heavy dress...
Long cots, mufflers, caps...
Yesterday we were friends; But now heavy silences have fallen between us...
And I begin to wonder ”is life only a rat race?"
If only we don’t have deadlines...
Or, is the hustle and rush our own way to protect our life
From understanding the truth - that our life cannot be complete...
